DRIVER TRAINING PROGRAM
CLASS 3
Duration: 32 Hours
This 32-hour driving course addresses the correct and safe operation of a Class 3 tandem/tridem acle truck preparing the student to work in various fields including gravel truck, vacuum truck, garbage or recycling trucks and many more areas.
32 hours Class 3 driver training (highway truck).
Training will be in a full size highway tractor with an 18 speed road ranger style transmission and/or in simulator.
The student will learn the timing of shifting up and down, the art of observation, road position and pre trip inspection along with other details in preparation for their road test at the Motor Vehicle Branch.

Note: ICBC written Air Brake Test must be written and passed before the road test or within 90 days of completing the Air Brake Endorsement course, whicever comes first. If a student fails the written exam three times the Air Brake Course must be repeated at students' cost.
Prerequisites

Students are responsible for accommodation needs and meals during their training.

Students are responsible for travel requirements to and from Taylor's office.

Additional truck and/or instructor training will be billed at an hourly rate.

A schedule of lessons with the appointed times will be given to each student in advance.

24 hour cancellation notice is required to avoid being charged for missed lessons.

Missed lessons will be billed at an hourly rate.

Students are to be at the school or appointed pick up point 15 minutes prior to the lesson.

Students must bring gloves and coveralls to all lessons unless previously discussed with the instructor.

Students are responsible for the regular cleaning of coveralls.

At no time are the gloves or coveralls to be worn in the cab of the trucks.
